Never without the crew
Lockcard - this is a now not so small group of young inventors who have lined up to declare war on conventionality! The result is products made in Germany that make your everyday life easier - no frills, but real everyday heroes, reduced to the essentials. We don't hide behind beautiful pictures and dazzling texts, but rather take you on our journey every day on social media and show you our greatest successes as well as our failures. You won't find us in a hip office in Berlin-Mitte, but in tranquil Ulm on a large industrial area, where we have enough space to work on existing and new products for you! We are a colorful mix full of “Why Not's” who break through comfort zones, approach things with flair and don't take ourselves too seriously.
Because pssst, we're actually just here to have a great time - what else are you doing all this for?
2019 - October: When we moved into the dormitory, we got additional keys for the first time - but instead of attaching them to a key ring, we wanted to be able to store them in our wallet - because you always have that with you anyway.
2020 - Spring: The idea was there, but we almost despaired of production - it was only the use of a 3D printer that made the production of the keyplate possible.
2020 - September: After almost a year of product development, a second product: The Lockcard Wallet. We opened an online shop and sold the first product!
2021 - January: After a few months the time had come: work took over and we decided to stop studying. Off into uncertainty!
2021 - February: With the launch of TikTok in Germany, we got the opportunity to share what we do and how we do it with other people and thus build a large community. Few things have had such an impact on our start-up!
2021 - November: It started with a printer, but it quickly became inadequate. So we expanded our production capacity printer by printer.
2022 - February: Our products made from aluminum - that was the goal that we have been working towards for a long time and that we were only able to make possible with our own milling machine!
2022 - October: A big step, more risk. The team grew larger and the office in the parents' basement became too small. So we moved into our first space and didn't know what to do with all this space :)
2023 - April: We were allowed to pitch the lockcard wallet in the lion's den! This experience and the collaboration with Ralf Dümmel have helped us a lot personally. We then worked with Ralf's team, but we still own 100% of the company shares.
2023 - October: The space became too small again faster than expected and after just one year we started looking for a larger office again. It feels more and more like a real company!
